Sam Charles is a Google-certified digital marketer with 12 years of experience. She is the founder and SEO lead of Float Digital, a multi-award-winning agency. With an extensive portfolio, Sam has worked with over 450 B2C & B2B brands, including companies such as Argos, Thorntons, Accor, J.P Morgan, Victoria’s Secret, Eastpak, Manfrotto, and Emirates. Her proven track record has earned her nominations for over 70 prestigious business awards, including The National Business Awards, the UK Search Awards, and The Great British Entrepreneur Awards.

Sam’s accomplishments also include winning the Sage Business Ambition Award, a recognition that led to a significant opportunity for her career. As a result of winning the award, she was granted mentoring with Peter Jones from Dragons’ Den, a well-known BBC star. This mentoring experience proved invaluable, helping Sam further develop her business growth plan and gain valuable insights from a seasoned entrepreneur.

In addition to running a fast-growing agency, Sam is actively involved in various endeavours. She serves as a committee member for a non-profit organisation and is a seasoned international public speaker.

Sam also volunteers for the RNLI (Royal National Lifeboat Institution) in multiple roles, including as a Digital Associate. Sam holds a Higher National Diploma and BA (Hons) Business and Marketing from Anglia Ruskin University, Lord Ashcroft School of Business, Cambridge. She successfully graduated after submitting a dissertation titled ‘The Evolution of Algorithms & Behaviour: How Poor Visibility in Search Engines Impacts Conversions in Traditional Marketing’.

Furthermore, Sam attended Griffith University in Australia as part of a semester abroad program, where she studied Cognitive and Biological Neuroscience, Consumer Psychology, Psychological Science in Society, and Human Behaviour. This additional knowledge complements her business and marketing background, enabling her to have a deeper understanding of consumer buying habits.

Currently, Sam’s pursuit of a Level 8 qualification, equivalent to a Ph.D./Doctorate in Management, has been postponed as she guides Float Digital through exponential growth.

Sam is a seasoned international public speaker in the SEO industry. She has spoken at BrightonSEO, the world’s largest Search Marketing conference, three times, captivating audiences of up to 3,500 delegates. She has also presented internationally at The Marketing Business Summit in Milan.

Sam’s expertise and engaging speaking style have made her a sought-after speaker in the industry. Additionally, she shares her knowledge and expertise by delivering practical workshops and training sessions to businesses.

In addition to her speaking engagements, Sam is dedicated to providing digital marketing support to not-for-profit organisations. She has actively supported First Light, a domestic abuse and sexual violence support service.
